The sunset and silhouettes of the century plants caught my attention. It wasn't until I put the pix on the computer that I saw the hawk!

I was on my way back from a hike when I came across some of my neighbors out for a sunset stroll. We stared at each other for almost 15 minutes; it was almost dark (and quite cold!) by the time they decided to move on.  I had first spotted them at quite a distance as the last rays of sun caught the buck's antlers.  I got up really early in the morning in hopes of seeing our local eagles. This little family showed up just before the eagles flew in.  I was thinking of my friend Jill recently as I went out to watch the sunset. I started talking to her, and as I opened my eyes, here's who I saw.  She had a friend with her...  |
