The sunset and silhouettes of the century plants caught my attention. It wasn't until I put the pix on the computer that I saw the hawk!
I was on my way back from a hike when I came across some of my neighbors out for a sunset stroll. We stared at each other for almost 15 minutes; it was almost dark (and quite cold!) by the time they decided to move on. I had first spotted them at quite a distance as the last rays of sun caught the buck's antlers.
