I was on my way back from a hike when I came across some of my neighbors out for a sunset stroll. We stared at each other for almost 15 minutes; it was almost dark (and quite cold!) by the time they decided to move on. I had first spotted them at quite a distance as the last rays of sun caught the buck's antlers.

I love how this photo re-creates the way my heart lifts when I encounter wild ones in their home. I feel like I'm right there, drinking in the scents, the fading light, the feel of the air around me, the energy from these wild ones as they assess your presence. Beautiful. Thank you.
